A friend of ours brought this really great opportunity to our attention so I absolutly need to share. This coming Sunday June 7th you will have the opportunity to tour some of Saskatoon's most interesting buildings....for FREE.  Plus you can get free transit to each site.  Watch for the pull-out program in the Saturday Jun 6th Star Phoenix.

What?

Doors Open Saskatoon 2015 will showcase a number of buildings in various clusters around Saskatoon: Nutana-Broadway, Riversdale-Caswell, Downtown, University, and City Park Area. This event is FREE of charge and is a great way to see some of Saskatoon's most interesting buildings.

Why?

To help people understand and enjoy their architectural environment and encourage awareness of their built heritage. This event is an opportunity to raise awareness of the value of their built heritage.

When?

Sunday, June 7, 2015, noon to 5 pm

What's new this year?

In addition to many returning favourites, Doors Open will feature many buildings not previously showcased:
  • Saskatoon Police Headquarters
  • Affinity Credit Union
  • A.L. Cole Pump House
  • Empyreal Building
  • St Joseph Church
  • Westmount School
  • And many more!

Cost

2015 Button imageSaskatoon Transit is offering FREE BUS SERVICE all day on Sunday, June 7. You must have a button to access this free service. Buttons available at:
  • City Hall (222 3rd Avenue North)
  • Meewasin (402 3rd Avenue South)
  • Saskatoon Transit (23rd Street Bus Mall)
  • Tourism Saskatoon (#101 202 4th Avenue North)
Since the number of buttons available are limited, Saskatoon Transit will also accept a printed copy of the button or a picture of the button on your cell phone!
